Nakdong-River Indian ink drawing Exhibition by Kwon Gap-chil
The stream flows and the flowers bloom
< Far far away in the blue sky the clouds arise and it rains.
Although there is no man in the mountain, the stream flows and the flowers bloom.>
It's a part of Whang San-gok's poem, "The stream flows and the flowers bloom.",
in which he sings ther order of the universe, and the harmoney of the nature.
From several years ago I have been visiting my home town on regular basis.
Little by little I was attracted by glittering sands and beautiful stream of Nakdong-River.
Often I would tremble with awe for its beauty.
Thus I cuold not help drawing it.
In front of canvas, my hand had only to follow as my heart led and my eyes saw,
as if the heart and the hands would correspond.
